Wombat News Center Statement of Mission

Anyone who turned on CNN after NATO started bombing Yugoslavia in April must have been struck by just how shallow and America-centric the crown jewel of the Western media is. Do they really need the world's largest news gathering organization to spoon feed the world propaganda straight from the war-horse's mouth? The good people at Wombat do not have resources, but we do have the desire to present the news to the reader unfiltered and uncontaminated by military and commercial interests. To this end, Wombat will present you with the headlines from major news organs as well as more obscure news sources from around the world, complete with links to the full articles. We screen out the graphics, advertizement, and assorted garbage that wastes downloading time and bungs up the internet.

Although originally focusing on Japan, with the kind patronage of our readers we are stretching out and in the coming weeks will be inagurating many more pages. Thank you very much.

Titus North
