Brady Hunsaker: Professional activities

• I'm a member of INFORMS, COIN-OR, and MPS.
• INFORMS service:
  • I maintain a listing of educational programs in OR/MS on the INFORMS Student Union web site.
  • I was on the organizing committee for the 2006 INFORMS Annual Meeting, which was held in Pittsburgh. I served as Sponsored Sessions Co-chair (along with Javier Pena of CMU) and as Local Liaison for the Teachers Workshop.
• I develop free software and open-source software for optimization:
  • I am active in the COIN-OR Foundation, Inc., which manages the Computational Infrastructure for Operations Research (COIN-OR) project.

• I'm part of an effort to promote operations research awareness among high school students while helping them see the relevance of math in many everyday situations.
